The accommodation at Burgage is a superbly renovated grain loft in a cobbled courtyard set in a stud farm. The Georgian main house on the property was built c.1760 and is steeped in history. The apartment overlooks extensive gardens and the River Barrow with a lovely view of Mount Leinster. There is a tennis court, fishing and many walks on site. One of the main features is the "Dionn Righ", a raised ring fortress from where the Kings of Leinster once held court. The spacious apartment is finished to a high standard with a fully equipped kitchen. There are two bedrooms (one ensuite) and sleeps 4. Extra bedrooms may be available. It is situated 12km south of Carlow town on the N7 road to Kilkenny. The heritage village of Leighlinbridge with it's award winning restaurant is less than 3 mins drive and the medieval city and major tourist attraction that is Kilkenny is approx. 24km.
